Beauly is a large village that can be found in the Highlands of Scotland situated at the mouth of the River Beauly, not far from of Inverness. Beauly itself comes from the French for ‘beautiful place’ and as the name suggests Beauly is set in beautiful surroundings with wooded hills and fertile farmland.

Beauly’s most famous visitor was Mary Queen of Scots who stayed at the priory in 1564.
