Berwick on Tweed
Berwick on Tweed is a market town in Northumberland and is also the northernmost town in England before you reach Scotland. It is on the East Coast of England at the mouth of the River Tweed.
The town itself has really blossomed into a popular Georgian market town. The famous Elizabethan town walls were built to keep the invading Scots out and from the walls, visitors can enjoy amazing views across the rolling countryside. If you venture into the town, the Maltings Theatre and Arts Centre is a “must see” along with the Berwick on Tweed museum.
